good looking guy working out his lower absWhat are the best lower ab workouts that really work in 2014 and beyond? Today we will get into some awesome lower ab workouts that will rock your abs like never before. If you would like to look at the whole list of lower ab workouts you can check out crunches exercise – how to perform the perfect crunch as today I am just going to go over the lower ab exercises that I feel are only necessary. There are a ton of workouts and exercises for your abs these days but honestly we only want the ones that are needed and the ones that give the best results in the quickest amount of time.

When I first wanted to get going on my abs I wanted to get a nice ab workout machine, no doubt workout machines are the way to go if you can afford it. But then again you can achieve great abs without any equipment, that’s the great thing about working out your abs and plus I didn’t really have any money to burn at the time anyway. In order to get great abs you just need 15 or 30 minutes a day and a nice floor to lie your back on.

I thought all I had to do to get great abs was just do a couple reps of crunches a day, but once I started to do a little research I realized I have to work out my lower abs as well. Crunches are great ab exercises and they are indeed one of the best free ways you can work out your abs. You can get a good set of abs just by doing crunches everyday but in order to get that great six pack you also need to find some great lower ab workouts as well. Crunches are mainly focused on the upper ab region not the lower.

So for the upper abs crunches will do great, for the lower ab workouts I would do either bicycle crunches or v holds. I will put a video from you tube below on how to do the v holds and bicycle crunches as it’s a lot easier to watch and learn then trying to explain it via text. Before you watch the video I want to go over just a few things. When you first start working out your abs its best to start off slow and work your way up. I wouldn’t do 5 reps a day in the beginning, let your ab muscles build a little bit of strength first.

And also don’t work out your abs everyday, try to go one day off and one day on. This is extremely important in the beginning as any muscle group needs time to recover and rest, this is very important in the beginning, I don’t want you to over do it. Also if you have any kind of weight problems you might also want to think on going on a diet, the best ways for ones abs to show is no body fat. If you are over weight you can still work out your abs, just keep in mind that you will need to lose your body fat in order for those hot beach babes to see your abs.

So you need to do one upper ab workouts and one lower ab workouts every other day. Do this and in no time you will have an awesome set of golden abs. Crunches or sit ups for the upper abs and bicycle crunches and v holds for the lower abs. Start off with 3 reps every other day and slowly build up to 5 or 6. The tactic here is to get you an awesome set of six-pack abs without having to spend too much time on them. And if you can afford it maybe look into some ab equipment to speed up the process.
